Conference Board projects 6.7% increase in overseas visitors to Canada in 2018

Conference Board of Canada

The Conference Board forecasts for Canada tourism in 2018:

  • 2.6% growth overall
  • Overnight visits up 2.2%
  • Overseas visits up 6.7% (due in part to Canada - China Year of Tourism)
  • Visits from USA up 3.4% despite higher gas prices
  • Travel prices to continue to increase faster than consumer prices overall

Looks like Canada continues to be on sale, in the perception of Americans. Good for Canada.
