To slow the spread of COVID-19, MA Gov. Charlie Baker has ordered closure of all Massachusetts bars and restaurants beginning 17 March. Absent any future changes to this order, establishments may reopen for business as usual 6 April.

Grocery stores and pharmacies are exempt from this order.

Per the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, as of 16 March there is known community spread of COVID-19 in the counties of Berkshire, Essex, Hampden, Norfolk, Middlesex, Suffolk and Worcester.

The Massachusetts Restaurant Association has posted a Coronavirus Information Center with resources for the restaurant industry on its website.
