ME Gov. Janet Mills

ME Gov. Janet Mills announced yesterday that because of a significant increase in COVID-19 case numbers in the state last week, the following disease-control measures will be enacted this week:

  • Effective Wednesday 4 November, indoor gathering limits will return to a max of 50 people, regardless of capacity of the venue.
  • Also effective Wednesday 4 November, persons entering Maine from Connecticut, New York or New Jersey will no longer be exempt from quarantine or COVID-19 testing requirements.
  • Reopening of bars and tasting rooms for indoor seated service that had been scheduled for Monday 2 November is postponed indefinitely.

Gov. Mills also announced the extension of State financial support to municipalities under the Keep Maine Healthy Plan.
