The Maine Office of Tourism has awarded these 7 grants for FY 2017:
- Moosehead Lake Region Chamber: $9,000 to promote Moosehead Pinnacle Pursuit hikes
- Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber $7,000 to support off-season tourism
- Bicycle Coalition of Maine $10,000 to develop an online cycling guide
- Maine Maritime Museum, Farnsworth Museum, Boothbay Railway Village and the Damariscotta Pumpkinfest Collaborative $10,000 to support a fall shoulder season events campaign in the Mid-coast region
- Maine Art Museum Trail $10,000 to promote the arts in Maine via the New York Times
- Points North Institute/Camden International Film Festival $6,500 for shoulder-season promotion via digital media
- Main Street Skowhegan Brewfest $5,175 for promotion via broadcast radio and the Web
Aspiring grant winners should be aware that you need to be a Maine-based 501C3 or 501C6 non-profit to get one of these.
