Aer Lingus (UK) Ltd.

The UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has confirmed its issuance of an operating license to Aer Lingus (UK) Ltd. for scheduled passenger service between Manchester Airport and New York JFK and Orlando International.

Flights are scheduled to begin 30 September 2021, as the US continues to ban nonessential inbound travel from the UK, likely until at least September.

The airline also plans to begin Manchester - Barbados service on 20 October.

The new transatlantic passenger services from Manchester should help Aer Lingus fill the gap left because of travel restrictions in Ireland, where passenger traffic through the Republic was down 93.5% in the first half of 2021.
