Then Tourism Minster Dr. Leo Varadkar on US road trip promoting The Gathering in 2013

Irish National Tourism Development Authority Fáilte Ireland is working on developing a proposal for a revival of the 2013 Gathering event, possibly for 2021 or 2022, to assist the industry in recovering from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, which could cut 2020 tourism spend in Ireland by 70%.

It's estimated that the 2013 Gathering put €170M into the Irish economy.

Will this work? How is global tourism going to look in 2021? I believe much different from 2019. Stay tuned for updates.
