On 21 April, Malaysia Airlines subsidiary FlyFirefly Sdn Bhd (dba Firefly) began 6/day service between Kuala Lumpur Subang and Singapore Seletar using ATR 72-600 aircraft.

And on 16 April Malaysian carrier Malindo Airways Sdn Bhd launched 4/week service from Kuala Lumpur to Adelaide via Denpasar using A330-300s.
