Forecasts show that the number of working-age people in Scotland will grow by only 1% over the next 25 years, but the number of pensioners will increase by 25%.

Foreign Minister Fiona Hyslop says that fact should entitle Scotland to have an immigration system different from that of the rest of the UK.

Throughout the UK, the tourism and hospitality industries depend heavily on migrant workers from mainland EU.

Since the June 2016 Brexit referendum vote, a shortage of chefs has already developed in the UK.
