Vermont's Lake Champlain Chamber has inked a $75K destination rebranding agreement with Kansas City-based travel marketers MMGY Global.
Chamber leadership is seeking more out-of-state visitors to the Burlington region, for both business and leisure, and the associated tax revenues.
Based on 2017 credit-card spend in Vermont by visitors, most come from (top 5):
- NY 20%
- MA 18%
- NH 16%
- CT 9%
- NJ 4%
So likely those states - plus others with direct flights into Burlington such as GA, NC, MI and FL - will be MMGY's initial target markets.
