Failte Ireland has announced the appointment of former Head/Ireland's Ancient East Jenny DeSaulles to the new position of Director of Sector Development.
The mission of the Sector Development directorate will be to "build [tourism] industry resilience" in the face of current challenges including shrinking outbound from the UK, increased costs and Brexit.
Initial efforts of Sector Development will focus on labor supply and skills, market retention and diversification, accommodation and quality assurance.
