Presentation by Encore Boston Harbor President Bob DeSalvio to the Massachusetts Gaming Commission revealed marketing initiatives the casino is planning for 2019, including

  • Promotion to customers of Wynn's Las Vegas and Macao casinos
  • Fam trips to Boston for international influencers and travel professionals
  • Advertizing blitz in Boston area plus NY, NJ, PA, MD
  • Promotion of the casino as a 5-star resort via Wynn's international marketing offices in California, Canada, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Japan
  • Promotion of Encore as the only 5-star resort casino in a major city besides Las Vegas
  • $125K worth of gift certificates for Boston-area restaurants, to be given to guests
  • Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins, Patriots tickets for VIPs and customers
  • Memberships in GBCVB and GB Chamber
  • Tie-in with BCEC

Looks like Encore and Wynn are serious about making this casino a world-class destination. How will this impact Everett, Boston and surrounding towns in terms of traffic, money put into the local economy and other ways not as yet predictable?
