MA Gov. Charlie Baker yesterday issued a new stay-at-home advisory - essentially an overnight curfew - asking residents to be at home between 10 PM and 5 AM every night, along with an order for restaurants and other businesses to close by 9:30 PM.

There are exemptions to the stay-at-home order for going to work, medical appointments, grocery shopping and picking up takeout food.

Also private gatherings are limited to 10 people indoors, 25 outdoors. Violators face fines of $500 per incident, and businesses that serve alcohol could be looking at license suspension/revocation for holding large after-hours gatherings.

Mask mandate is now stricter, requiring wearing of masks even if 6 or more feet away from others.

Persons entering Massachusetts must quarantine for 14 days if traveling from anywhere other than these 7 states: ME, NH, VT, NY, WA, CA, HI. (Subject to change weekly.)
