Maine Lobster Festival 2021 canceled because of COVID-19

Maine Lobster Festival

Rockland's Maine Lobster Festival which had been scheduled for 4-8 August 2021 has been canceled because the organizers don't feel they can safely hold the event while complying with CDC guidelines re COVID-19.

Organizers said in an announcement:

"We have worked with our board, our city and the state guidelines, and despite looking at dozens of other options, we have regretfully concluded that we can not safely hold our event in 2021."

The 2020 festival was also canceled because of COVID-19.

The next festival is now scheduled for 3-7 August, 2022.

The Maine Lobster Festival is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization which has given more than $500,000 to the local community through support for organizations such as Midcoast Regional Child Development Services, Trekkers and Meals on Wheels.
