Key findings:

  • Authenticity is critical.
  • Awareness is low.
  • Aboriginal tourism occupies a unique niche.
  • Aboriginal tourism in the USA is too commercialized - maybe less so in Canada.
  • Americans want experience-focused activities.

Findings look valid.

But increasing awareness while maintaining authenticity and avoiding over-commercialization is a difficult balancing act.

Hope they succeed.
