Consultants Huddle Up have recommended the City of Auburn establish a "dedicated tourism office" with 2 staffers, for an initial investment of $138,000 to $192,000.

But Auburn officials seem to feel that Lewiston and other regional jurisdictions should share in the cost and benefits of increased tourism.

So I suspect no tourism initiative will be getting off the ground in Androscoggin County anytime soon. Too bad.
