In the past 12 months the Loonie reached a low of $0.72721on 4 May 2017. Yesterday (27 July) it reached $0.80535.

So for Americans, in the past year Canada has been on sale at discounts ranging from around 28% in May to around 20% now. And Canadians have paid comparable premiums to visit the USA.

I don't think this currency fluctuation coming this late in the summer is going to have a great deal of effect on 2017 primary holiday plans of either Americans or Canadians.
