Director since November Carolann Ouellette - formerly MOT Executive Director, most recently CEO of Maine Huts & Trails - is currently temporary, but a permanent position will almost certainly be created within DECD once Gov. Janet Mills' 2020 budget is passed.

Industry association Maine Outdoor Brands was instrumental in getting the new DECD position established.
