LD 1157 proposed by Gorham Rep Andrew McLean would increase state gasoline tax June-October with the objective of getting tourists to pay a larger share of the cost of improvements to Maine roads and bridges.

Tourism and hospitality industry groups Maine Tourism Association and Hospitality Maine oppose.
