The Ireland Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport will be providing more than 1.9M euro of new funding to Ireland West Airport Knock to support ongoing costs of air traffic control and fire, safety and security operations.

The airport has recently finished work on Phase 1 of a 15M euro facilities-improvement project, also funded by the state. (See the video.)
