ForwardKeys says their travel-booking data show bookings to the USA for January-August 2018 down 8.4% year-on-year, and the value of the yuan down 7.5% against the USD. And for the rest of 2018, Chinese bookings to the USA are 9.6% behind where they were in August 2017. Group bookings are most affected - down 34.4% for the rest of 2018.

Meanwhile, bookings from China to Canada are up.

A Chinese delegation led by the Vice Commerce Minister is scheduled to meet with US officials led by the Treasury Undersecretary - not exactly A-list players considering the seriousness of the situation - on August 22-23.
