Objective of the new training program is to make Boston more competitive with other cities like NYC and Las Vegas for hosting the biggest national trade shows.

The Mass. Department of Public Safety and Convention Center Authority are supporting the program.

Teamsters Local 25 last made the tourism news when 4 of its officials were tried and acquitted of extortion in connection with filming of the Top Chef TV show in Boston.
