Portland has warned 100+ owners of unregistered short-term rental properties that they could be fined up to $100/day.
FYI, here is an excerpt from the Portland ordinance:
Some officials are concerned that increasing numbers of short-term-rental properties being operated by absentee landlords are reducing the stock of affordable long-term housing.
Councilors will meet this week to try to decide on appropriate enforcement actions.
