VisitBritain teams with Tencent on using mobile game to introduce Chinese youth to UK [VIDEO]

The UK adaptation of the "QQ Speed" auto racing game - already very popular in China in its original version - is intended to inspire Chinese young adults to visit Britain.

In the game, the virtual character "Xiao Juzi" guides players around virtual racetracks themed as "British Castles" (think Windsor) and "North Sea Fishery" which is based on seaside villages.

Chinese outbound tourism just keeps growing - and the UK is a shorter haul from China than North America, with no tariff tensions to speak of.
